Wine Talk...

Our trip to the Amazon, Machu Picchu and Chile's wine country

We were just sitting around having glasses of wonderful wine. We were discussing bucket lists and pretty quickly turned into a scary thing (but great too) and a to do list like no other trip we've ever made! We are all in the process of getting a series of shots and gratefully accepting any extras our doctors will give us as, "just in case" pills.

We are so looking forward to this adventure and know that all the planning in the world does not guarantee that everything will go smoothly. No trip would be memorable without surprises.Our itinerary has evolved over several months and here it is!

9	Clyde and Krimhilde fly to Dallas
10	8:30 PM Jim, Tina, Clyde and Krim fly to Santiago
11	Monday: Arrive in Santiago 8:00 AM; Check in and explore area and area museums Ritz Carlton Santiago 1 night
12	Tuesday: Check out; leave bags with the Ritz that we are not taking to the Amazon and Machu Piccu. Liz Caskey – Tour of markets in Santiago with food prepared at Liz’s apartment 8:20 PM fly to Lima, Peru, arrive at 11:00 PM stay at the airport hotel
13	Wednesday: Check out. Lima to Puerto Maldonado departs at 9:55am. arrives Amazon Rainforest at 12:45pm; settle in before evening excursion
14	Thursday: Amazon
15	Friday: Amazon
16	Saturday: Puerto Maldonado to Cuzco the flight departs at 1:20pm and arrives at 2:15pm. Relax, walk the city center
17	Sunday: Cuzco Private Tour
18	Monday: Sacred Valley Tour
18	Monday: Train to Machu Picchu – stay at Machu-Picchu Pueblo Hotel
19	Tuesday: Machu Picchu Tour
20	Wednesday: 7:45 AM flight to Santiago 3:15 Arrival, Stay in Santiago (Ritz Carlton)
21	Thursday: Petit Verdot and Merlot rooms at Lapostolle Residence
22	Friday: Lapostolle Residence
23	Saturday: Check in at Viña La Playa
24	Sunday: Wine
25	Monday: Wine
26	Tuesday: Check out of Viña La Playa.; back to Santiago (Ritz Carlton); check car
27	Wednesday: Wine tour and check in at hotel in Valparaiso
28	Thursday: Free - Valparaiso
29	Friday: Check out of Casa Higueras Valparaiso Wine tour and transport to airport. Catch plane in Santiago at 8:50 PM
30	Saturday: Arrive in Dallas / Clyde and Krimhilde fly to Sacramento
